⚙ How Does It Work?
- You upload an image (PNG or JPG)
- You enter your secret message
- Optionally, you provide a passphrase for AES encryption
- The tool encrypts your message (if passphrase provided)
- Using LSB steganography, the message bits are hidden in the least significant bits of pixel color values
- You download the stego image - it looks identical to the original but contains your hidden message
- To extract, upload the stego image and provide the same passphrase
What is LSB Steganography?
LSB (Least Significant Bit) steganography works by replacing the least significant bits of each pixel's color channels (Red, Green, Blue) with bits from your secret message. Since changing the LSB only results in a color change of 1 out of 256 levels, the modification is imperceptible to the human eye.
For example, a pixel with RGB values (142, 89, 203) might become (143, 88, 202) after embedding - a change so subtle it's invisible.
